What is a Shop Supply?

A Shop Supply is how the shop tracks any purchase made with company money. It's our "paid out" log — every dollar that leaves the shop for something other than a customer's repair gets recorded here.

A few examples of when you'd enter one:

  • Picking up toilet paper for the customer bathroom (Cleaning Supplies)
  • Buying safety glasses for the crew (Safety Equipment)
  • Grabbing pens or a new stapler for the front counter (Office Supplies)

If the purchase is for a customer's vehicle, that belongs on the Repair Order. If it's stock to resell, that goes through an Inventory Purchase Order. Everything else operational lives here.
