Available QTY

Available QTY is the stock number you see on the screen for any part. It's the number you can actually pull or sell right now — not the raw count of what's on the shelf.

The number on the screen

Available QTY = On-hand units − Units already on open ROs
  • On-hand units — how many are physically on the shelf.
  • Units already on open ROs — units that have been added to a customer's job but not yet pulled.
  • Available QTY — what's left for you to grab right now.

You may see 'QOH' on older screens

Some older screens still show a column called QOH (Quantity On Hand). As those screens are updated, the label is changing to Available QTY and the number reflects the math above.

This page will cover:

  • Where Available QTY shows up (RO part search, inventory lookup, reports)
  • How a part gets reserved when it's added to an RO
  • How a part becomes available again (RO closed, line removed)
